Remote practice

If you’ve been hurt, call us on (08) 9193 2215 in the morning. You have nothing to lose because we won’t charge you if we don’t get you compensation.

Tom Cannon has been working on ground breaking remote accident and injury cases in WA for more than 20 years. For the last six of those, he has been doing settlement conferences in the North West with his clients and the Insurance Commission of WA.

Tom makes the process of being compensated for accidents or injury far easier for his clients. He understands the issues people in remote regions face – including the Kimberley, Pilbara and Goldfields – because he has lived there. That’s why he does big conference “runs” to go to them – travelling from Newman to Kununurra or Kalgoorlie to Uluru. Tom also sets up video conferences or takes specialists, like psychiatrists and bone doctors, with him so his clients don’t have to travel as much.

If you’ve been hurt by someone committing a crime, we can help you. You should get in touch quickly as there are strict time limits of 3 years from the date of the incident. It’s worth knowing that your claim can be denied if you don’t cooperate with the police, if the offender is acquitted or if you were doing an illegal act at the time you were injured. –    In certain cases we may be able to get extensions but you still need to act quickly.

Public liability claims
If you’ve been hurt in a public place or on someone’s property because they didn’t make it safe for you, we may be able to help.

What happens if you sign up?

Don’t worry, we won’t charge you if we can’t get you compensation.

So once you tell us you want us to represent you, we will send you some papers to get your authority. You then sign those papers and send them back to us. We can’t act for you until we get them. Once we have those, we start our enquiries, including getting in touch with the police and medical professionals. We also put the insurer on notice about the claim. All we need from you is your promise to stay in touch.
